Update.

Hi Everyone,
Michelle's Dr called me tonight just a second ago... They are still planning to get a spinal tap tomorrow ( Feb 28) and then give her a blood patch to close up the hole in her spine due to the spinal tap(s). He said he did find some abnormalities in the blood indicating swelling, so he wil be asking for an rheumatoid dr to come in and help. I asked if the initial diagnosis was still in effect, and he was unsure due to the normal pressure on the spine from the initial tap. But that the cardinal signs still pointed to Empty Sella Syndrome (ESS) aka Pseudotumor Cerebri Syndrome (PCS). After the second spinal tap is preformed, he will do a second MRI and include an MRI of the complete spine also. (I actually brought up the second MRI and he said he was thinking the same thing.) This way he can compare the difference as Michelle has degraded in the way she feels and eats etc from the time we went in till now. Dr is also trying new pain medicine called Laryca. My mom takes that for arthritis pain. Hopefully it will help with the swelling.

Laura has been a big help to our family by taking Zelina home with her after school. She helps Zelina with her home work and spelling words and everything! She has been a real blessing! Big thanks and blessings to her! Zelina has been holding up ok so far.

My job has also switched my responibilities as well. I am no longer a medical collector. I will now be an insurance biller. This will allow me more time at night to be with my family. I am not sure of my new hours untill tomorrow, but I hear they are much better than leaving work at 9p like I did tonight.

Am I under stress? I guess. Thank you for being there.

Another spinal tap!!!

Hi Everyone,
Michelle is having spinal tap again tomorrow morning ..not sure what time. She wanted Christine and Jill to come by in the morning and visit after the procedure. I hear it hurts, and this will be her second one. :(She said you can call at 8:30am. That would be fine. If she is already in surgury, you can call the nurses station at 904-202-1740 to find out what time she is out. She really wants Jill and Christine to be there!
Thank you all for your continuing prayers!
Carlos
P.s. Jill, if you are wondering about the emails, Michelle called twice.
Sorry!

Changing rooms?

Nope, not yet. Still same room, but they are changing rooms soon. They plan to transfer Michelle to the nurology floor. She is receiving another spinal tap from the infectious disease dr. For further testing.

Memories of Benedorm, Spain

Ok so, I went to Spain and they had big giant angus cut outs along the roads on the way to a city called Benedorm. When we got there there was a really nice small town. Euopean beaches (read topless beach), lots of small shops , and memories to last a lifetime! Ok so I entered the arena and had a seat. The king of spain was there that day and we were supposedly watching the best bull fighters that day. They stared and big giant bulls came out running into the ring ready to fight. Chased out some of the clowns and then stared down his opponent. "Olé" then the bull fighter took a streamer and stuck him then another "olé" and then another...finally after a bit of lost blood, and some fancy red cape play, he took the sword and with one quick jab, sliced it though to the heart. With every twist of the red cape, the bull moved the sword , slicing its heart.... The bullfighter took the victory by slicing the ear, then the crowd screamed in approval and the bullfighter took the second ear...the king dropped his white hankerchief and the bull fighter took the grand prize and cut the bulls tail and gave it to the crowd.
